The Plot
The protagonist, Lucifer(a biblical reference), was once an angel in heaven , but then he was sent to rule the hell as a punishment for defying the orders of his dad who is none other than the almighty God himself. But as his nature is, he gets bored ruling hell and comes to live on earth in Los Angeles as a club owner. He has got a demonic ability or power whatever you may call, by which he can read the minds of people or rather it is his ability that people tell him whatever he wants them to, as he says " people tell me things, detective".
Chloe Decker, who is a model-turned detective and works for the LAPD, soon meets lucifer in course of a murder case which took her to Lux, Lucifer's club. Lucifer who otherwise has a devilish charm over him is fascinated when it does not works on Chloe. Soon they become partners and start solving criminal cases through Lucifer's unorthodox methods and Chloe's brilliance. Lucifer remains heavily interested in Chloe since not only does his powers fail to work on her but also her presence in his vicinity makes him vulnerable, for instance in her presence he becomes a mortal.
Performances
Tom Ellis's portrayal of the Devil is so magnificent that it seems as if the real Devil is performing the role of Tom Ellis on Earth. Lauren as Chloe is also very convincing in her role. The characters of Mazikeen, Amenadiel and Detective Douche are also very well written and portrayed.

This Netflix original maintains a gritty and engaging storyline throughout its 4 seasons.
This is a very unorthodox take on the biblical characters of devil, angels and demons. This story tries to convince the audience about the mental thought process of the most cursed character on the planet, the Devil himself . This show is a method to make people understand that the devil is not all blackishly bad and ominous but he thinks and cares for some people, his wrath is only incured when some kind of injustice takes place in the world. And when it happens he can be stopped by none. He is the ultimate punishment giver of the world.

Things i liked about the series
- The non-conservative portrayal of the Devil, which has been absolutely breathtaking.
- The music of the series is fantastic, especially the songs sung by Lucifer in his club.
- Season 3, yes.
Things i did not liked in the series
- Some of the cases are pretty boring, and more time could have been given to showcase the relationship development between Lucifer and Chloe
- That's it.
